But don’t let that humble origin story fool you – humans are a curious and ambitious species, and we’ve always wondered if we’re alone in the universe. Enter The Fermi Paradox, named after the physicist Enrico Fermi who famously asked: ‘Where is everybody?’

The paradox arises from the fact that the universe is vast and old, with billions of galaxies and trillions of planets.
